Houston ISD
Houston, Texas
For twenty-nine years, Kenyon Boswell has served his organizations as a transformational leader. He has spent the past 22 years transforming public education in three school districts in Texas. Currently, Kenyon serves 194,000 students and 27,000 team members in Houston Independent School District, the eighth largest school system in the United States. Kenyon understands that technology training/learning must be personal and relevant to the participant's role in the organization. Under Kenyon's leadership, Kenyon's team accomplished successful training in an SAP reimplementation for all HISD team members. In 2020, Kenyon's team led the training for the district's student information system implementation training. Other school districts told Kenyon that training could never be delivered virtually. Due to COVID-19, the team converted the traditional method of training and delivery to a total virtual experience. In eight weeks, Kenyon's team successfully delivered training on a new grade book and student information system to 17,000 teachers and 29,000 employees using Microsoft TEAMS, and Knowledge Articles.
Kenyon is entering his ninth year in HISD and has been married to his wife Martha, a veteran second-grade teacher for thirty-one years, and has two grown children and one new grandson!
