Gary Lackey (MS, CISSP, CETL, GXPN, GWAPT, GCFE, GSLC, GPEN, GSEC) is the Director of Cybersecurity at Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District in Baytown, TX. His role at the district includes assisting in continuous improvement of cybersecurity initiatives, identifying and responding to incidents, staying informed of cyber threats, and training/informing district personnel. Previous experience includes 14 years in Higher Education supporting Student Information Systems as a Programmer/Analyst, assisting in Disaster Recovery Planning, and a key member in developing an Information Security Management System from scratch. Gary Lackey assisted Goose Creek CISD in becoming the 5th district in Texas to achieve the TLE Seal for Data Privacy.
