Federal Efforts to Protect School Systems from Cybersecurity Threats

Join representatives from the federal government for a spotlight panel on the federal resources and evidence based practices to support K-12 schools and school districts in addressing cybersecurity risks and threats. This session will focus on our growing dependence on technology systems - coupled with emerging, evolving, and increasingly deceptive cyber threats - demands enhanced awareness and vigilance when it comes to our online world. What important steps are school leaders are taking to stay safe online, defend against risks and strengthen cyber safety and security both at home and within schools. Participants will come away with an understanding of how schools are addressing these risks and improving their safety plans to promote school preparedness and resilience in support of their educational mission. This session is designed as a panel discussion with a range of speakers sharing input and representing a range of federal view points to the audience throughout the discussion.
