Director of Instructional Design and Personalization Mehlville School District Saint Louis, Missouri
In learner centered schools and classrooms, we are seeing the role of the teacher shift towards being a facilitator of personalized, project based learning. Making this shift can be difficult, and requires ongoing support and coaching from principals. But, how often do our principals receive high quality professional development on project based learning, supporting them to grow as instructional leaders? In this session, we will talk about how district and building administrators can work together to create a shared vision and common language, model project based instructional practices for their teachers, and coach and provide feedback to teachers to support their work.
