Formerly, the Director of Instructional Technology and Support, managing the District’s Technology Training Team and, overseeing the supervision of the Help Desk, IT field Technicians, and managing the testing and approval process for adopting instructional software in Prince Georges County Public School District, the 18th largest school district in the country. The Technology Training Team (T3) comprises 18 instructional technologists for training and supporting schools and offices. Our Help Desk of 7 plus an additional 74 field technicians support 229 schools and offices.
Additionally, I spearheaded transforming one of our school buses into a mobile STEAM Lab. In partnership with one of our alternative education programs, students in the carpentry class at one of the high schools took ownership of designing and completing the interior work, including all the woodwork and cabinetry. We have an alternative education. The STEAM Lab was successfully rolled out Fall of 2022.
Prior to managing and directing the Training Team, I was a Regional Technology Coordinator responsible for training teachers and administrators on technology-based productivity tools. However, before transitioning into technology, I spent 12 years in the classroom teaching general education and special needs students from Pre-K to middle school. I recently transitioned from the K12 district and am managing the technology training and multimedia group at Prince George’s Community College and supporting the college’s eLearning team.
