Lisa M. Higgins, MA, MS, CETL

Lisa Higgins, CETL is the CTO of Collierville Schools, a suburban district outside of Memphis, TN. Lisa began her career as a middle school teacher and taught in several states, embracing and encouraging technology use. She moved to educational technology in 2007, working in an Instructional Technology Facilitator role, and is now CTO of a team of instructional and technical individuals who support students and staff. She was an integral part of the formation of Collierville Schools in 2013 and led their digital journey, moving from shared devices to a successful 1:1 program. Collierville has two schools with the designation of Apple Distinguished Schools.

Career awards include TETA CTO of the Year and Teacher of the Year at two schools where she taught. She served on the State Board of Directors for the Tennessee Educational Technology Association (TETA) and is still active in WTETA, the regional chapter, and is a member of Leadership Collierville. She has a BS in Education from the University of Dayton, an MA in Teacher Leadership from Silver Lake College, and an MS in Educational Leadership from Christian Brothers. Lisa is also CETL® Certified. She and her husband of 30 years, Mike, enjoy traveling, and a favorite activity is searching for and identifying sea shells.
