Biography Ms. Cougan is a Manager of Strategic Relationships and Intiatives at ENA, with 26 years of experience in education technology integration in the field. Ms. Cougan has been responsible for monitoring successful school implementation for school programs adopting videoconferencing technology, as well as oversight of Professional Development programs for 1:1 programs in K-12 schools. She works with schools to develop plans for their regions, districts and schools integrating technology specifically videoconferencing and collaborative technologies. Prior work included the monitoring, implementation and integration of a variety of educational software and training pieces for school districts nationally. Monica brings an extensive background in curriculum and instruction, as well as educational research and evaluation.
Ms. Cougan aided in the development and implementation of a Community Based Learning series connecting the K-12 community to the community at large in an academically based study of real-world issues utilizing problem-based learning and technology applications.
Ms. Cougan’s prior experience includes active participation in education as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor, and education consultant for two national technology-based curriculum companies. She has served as an independent math consultant, worked in curriculum development experience, evaluation of school based programs and the development of professional learning opportunities for educators in technology based school initiatives. She has extensive experience in building collaborative network opportunities for students and educators, project development, professional development, training, curriculum, mathematics instruction, project and problem based learning, classroom pedagogy and school change.
