For over 28 years in public education and non-profits, Jane advocates for equity, access through leadership transformation and innovation. Her leadership evolved from classroom teacher; ELD specialist; instructional technology, STEAM, and Blended Learning facilitator, coordinator, and director; adjunct faculty at two universities; NCCE tech director board member and on state committees; member of superintendent’s cabinet; principal of a program at 4 high schools in the 5th most diverse district in the country. Jane joined Digital Promise in 2021 as an associate director of professional learning for the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program, transitioned to the role of technical project director and Professional Learning IT Lead for the same program in 2022, and is currently the Project Director of District/IT Leader and C-Suite Leadership Experiences. Furthermore since 2007, Jane has consulted globally mentoring districts on transformation, innovative technology integration, STEM, project-based learning, game-based learning, and standards-based grading and reporting.
