Ryan Huch is the Director of Instructional Technology for the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools in Northeast Ohio. The Cuyahoga Falls City School District serves 4100 students across 9 school buildings. He leads a team of four Classroom Technology Integrations Specialists, 3 Media Specialists, and 4 technical support staff.
Prior to serving as the Director of Instructional Technology, he was a middle school principal, assistant principal, and band director. This variety of experiences allow him to approach technology in education through the lens of instructional leadership. Taking over the technology role at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has led the district through many transformations, including migrating from Exchange to Google, 1:1 deployments of Chromebooks for students and laptops for staff, implementation of a comprehensive disaster recovery system, and advocated for the district to take a leadership and advocacy role with regards to student data privacy.
