Matt Guilfoyle serves as Chief Information Officer for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS). He is responsible for the strategic management of communication and marketing, information and instructional technology, and business and community partnerships.
Guilfoyle led the transformation of PWCS's information technology systems and tools. Guilfoyle oversaw the complete implementation of a five-year digital equity plan in a matter of months, including provisioning laptops for more than 90,000 students and 7,000 teachers, deploying a cloud-based division-wide learning management system, and achieving significant infrastructure upgrades.
Prior to PWCS, Guilfoyle served as executive director of communications and community relations for Fairfax County Public Schools. Guilfoyle also served as public affairs officer for the Architect of the Capitol, director of global internal communications for The Nature Conservancy, deputy assistant Chief Administrative Officer for the U.S. House of Representatives.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political communication from George Washington University.
