The explosion of digital instructional materials has changed the learning landscape. Previously, the challenge was how to integrate technology into classroom instruction. Now, however, the ongoing challenge is how to integrate technology and digital materials in a way that intentionally addresses the needs of our diverse student populations. This new challenge can only be accomplished when equity considerations play a central role in the adoption of materials.
The session format will be an interactive presentation. Participants will be asked to lean into key equity issues in relation to digital material adoption. Group discussions, online polls and online posts will be key features as participants address equity considerations at the crossroads of technology and digital instruction.
