Director of Educational Technology Indiana Department of Education Indianapolis, Indiana
This session will explore the improved cybersecurity posture in both North Carolina and Indiana since 2021. In North Carolina, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) established the K-12 Cybersecurity Program with the purpose of organizing and aligning business and technical cybersecurity functions holistically across the state; providing stakeholders with greater visibility and measurability into the people, processes, and technologies deployed. In Indiana efforts have been made to increase collaboration, communication, and staff and student security awareness. This has been achieved through building partnerships with other agencies, conducting exercises and tabletops and improving the cybersecurity posture of school IT teams.
